Ming Tombs (Sept. 24)



Sunday, Septmeber 24th,

after 4 hours of sleep we took the bus 40 km north of Beijing to be impressed by the outstanding tombs of the Ming dynasty (around 1400 - 1650)

out of the thirteen tombs only three are open to the public and only the Ding ling tomb is made open for descent, behind us is where emporer wan li and his two empresses have found peace
