Ni hao Chinese sympathizers, I am staying in Beijing, China for one year to get familiar with different kinds of rice sorts, learn how to throw chopsticks, practice spitting and riding a bike without tyres .. or is this sheer nonsense? I'll clear you up!

Getting to Lhasa (Apr. 26 - 28)

Beijing West Station: T27 leaving for Lhasa!
Travelling on day 2....
Xiu xi yi xia...

Shortly after Lanzhou, we already reached the high plateaus.

Mmhhh, eggs Chinese style.

What can you do on a train? Learning some Chinese, look outside the window...
...chat and eat...
..drink...
...and sleep! Since the air was already pretty thin, we lay down quite often for a "xiu xi"
Everywhere you could recognize the altitude

Day 3. We already passed the Tanggulla Pass, the highest pass in the world. Three locomotives are pulling the train over the mountains which are manufactured in Dalian. Remember the pics from December when we visited the locomotive factory?

Good work, art student Jia.

Small shuang bao tai's.

and there is already the blue blue sky!
